- About Darko Zigic
Everyone has a financial puzzle, and I love solving it for them.
It’s a privilege to be part of our clients’ financial journey, celebrating the wins and being there when the unexpected happens.
I started my career in IT but quickly realised it was missing the people side of work. So, I looked for other industries where my quantitative and process skills would be useful. This led me to finance and banking, where I went on to work in financial planning roles at ANZ and Westpac.
Across the two banks, I gained experience in wealth protection, debt reduction and commercial credit. In 2012, I joined RFS, and my background made me the perfect adviser for small- to medium-sized businesses. In 2019, I was honoured to be named the Independent Financial Advisers (IFA) Excellence Awards’ Risk Adviser of the Year.
Today, I have a Masters in Financial Planning and extensive experience in wealth accumulation, debt reduction strategies, business planning, and superannuation and retirement strategies for clients with specialised and complex needs.
The great thing about my role is that I help people frustrated with their financial progress set attainable goals and then work with them to achieve them. Never forgetting that along the way, we need protection to deal with life’s surprises.

The most memorable was doing the previous world’s largest bungee jump – 216 meters. My most adventurous was swimming with Great White sharks and skydiving. I’m a bit of an adrenaline junkie!
