- About Niki Baxter
I’m an experienced financial planner who loves making a positive and meaningful difference to my pre- and post-retiree clients. Sharing in someone’s personal life experiences and milestones is the best feeling – knowing I played a part in making it happen is what makes this role so fulfilling.
I was born in Australia and raised in New Zealand, moving to the Gold Coast in 2003. Family changes in my teens taught me the importance of financial security, especially for women. This has motivated me to support women with wealth, which I see as a way to help close the gender wealth gap.
I joined RFS Advice in 2011 after building and running my own small business. I gained my Masters in Financial Planning with Distinction from Griffith University, winning the Griffith University Award for Academic Excellence.
I was also admitted into the Golden Key International Honours Society for the top 15% of students worldwide. Not bad for someone who left high school at 16.

Hobbies and Interests
Enjoying delicious food and wine with family and friends.
Watching AFL games, preferably at the stadium - Go Tigers!
Being active at the gym or if I'm lucky, snowboarding.
Going to live comedy shows as long as I don't get picked on!

LeBron James as his dedication to being elite at basketball even after all these years and successes he’s had, but also how much of a family man he is and how he balances this is inspiring. He comes across as very humble despite all that he has achieved.

Somewhere it snows (Canada or the USA), because the snow is magical and a complete contrast to the hot humid GC. I would love to be able to snowboard for an extended period of time.
I chartered a flight to Mount Yasur which is an active volcano on Tanna Island in Vanuatu and stood on the edge while it rumbled under my feet and erupted ash and lava into the air in front of me.
